- Color temperature (Kelvin): Indicates the color appearance of white light. Lower values (3000-4000K) appear warm/yellowish, higher values (5000-6500K) appear cool/bluish. Most commercial signs use 5000K or 6500K.
- CRI (Color Rendering Index): Measures how accurately the LED renders colors compared to natural light. Higher CRI matters when brand colors must appear correct under the sign's illumination.
- Beam angle: The spread of light from the module. Wider angles cover more area per module but with lower intensity. Narrower angles provide higher intensity but require more modules for coverage.
- IP rating: Dust and moisture protection level. IP65 (protected against water jets) is standard for sign modules. IP67 or IP68 may be specified for exposed or wet-location applications — particularly important for illuminated blade signs and other outdoor installations.
